Backstage at the Calamity, Vol. 1 No. XII: A Massive Workflow Update, and of course, The Groundskeeper Part XII

I have been busy cleaning up a lot of fucking stories and preparing a solid workspace to write well for each one. But who cares?! We have the latest installment of the Groundskeeper and that's fucking cool.

Calypso

An ill-colored and darkly glittering background appearing like waves crashing into each other, though in tones of yellow orange and green. The title "Calypso" is displayed in all caps toward the top, superimposed over the Mad Alex emblem which is somewhat blended into the background. Toward the bottom, text reads "Mad Alex presents A Tale From the Odds n Endings Boutique." This text is displayed as a minor headline on a circus playbill, though superimposed over the background.

Calypso is now on sale! This is the first story ever written in the Odds ‘n’ Endings universe, and the third to be published in it. Come and brave the journey with the narrator as they realize too late the cost for an otherwise interesting purchase. The story drops on the 13th of March, but you can preorder it now:

What the F*CK did I Work On This Week?

Well this week has been busy! Aside from a complete and total overhaul of my writing processes, I made more progress with the Groundskeeper, A Vampire’s Vengeance, Body Count—the new Odds ‘n’ Endings story, if you recall from prior issues—and Children of the Damned, the vampire trilogy coming out starting with Unholy Requiem.

All told, there are now eleven (11!) stories in progress, and I am prioritizing those that already have roots in existing universes. Still, there is much to come.

And with regard to what’s coming, let’s dive into what’s coming with our hero of the moment …

The Groundskeeper, Part XII

Background depicts a row of personal mausoleums, slightly desaturated. The title, "The Groundskeeper," is displayed across the image in the center in Requiem font.
